Power…

I was browsing flickr as usual on Monday mornings(who really goes to class these days?) and I found the picture above with the following quote…

“There will be no end to the troubles of states, or of humanity itself, till philosophers become kings in this world, or till those we now call kings and rulers really and truly become philosophers, and political power and philosophy thus come into the same hands.”- Plato

I figured since today was the first month of October of 2007, solidifying the idea that life is moving way to fast, that I would post something about taking action.  This quote is basically saying if you have power…. Think twice, maybe even three times before you move. And if you are a thinker maybe instead of just writing your world changing ideas down in a notebook, perhaps you should take your world changing ideas and, I don’t know..Change the world?

BTW: The Darfur Fundraiser was awesome, I had a lot of fun reading my poetry and watching the other performers. Once I get to Kelso’s house I will post up some pics.
